Sri Parakala Swamy will be gracing the bhakta-sAmUham with his

commentary on Sri Hayagriva Stotram, composed Sri Parakala Matham

Founder Acharya, Sri Thoppul Nigamantha Maha Desika, aka Sri Vedanta

Desikan.

 

The importance of Sri Hayagriva Stotram is quite known to all the

SriVaishnavas.

In fact, it is SO important that this stotram finds its place in the early

ritual of

Vidya-Arambham. The first slokam of Sri Hayagriva Stotram is taught to the

child during this ceremony. Also, in temples and in any ghosti pArAyaNam,

before any stotrams are recited, it is traditional to recite Sri Hayagriva

Stotram

first.

 

Several learned members belonging to various lists have written numerous

and very detailed articles on Sri Hayagriva Stotram and still it is possible

for

one to find newer and deeper meanings of these slokams. It is in fact, our

sheer

good fortune that our dear Acharya, HH Sri Parakala Swamy has chosen this

topic for the Tele-Upanyasam. It is a golden opportunity for us to obtain

new

insights into the message of Swamy Sri Desikan. Please mark your calendars

and

watch this email space for further information.

 

I would like to, at this time, point out TWO amendments to Sri Sudarshan's

email.

 

 

1) In contrast to the previous upanyasam, the tele-upanyasam dial-in and

passcode will be made available ONLY VIA REGISTRATION (Free of Cost).

Registration information is forthcoming.

 

2) The recording of the first Upanyasam is not yet available on the website.

It will be available soon. My time during the last 4 weeks was spread rather

too thin and am just getting back to the thick of things. I humbly seek your

understanding.
