Many of you have written nicely on the topic, but there is a small error,

that adiyEn is not able to pass by.

 

Many of you have mentioned if they are not happy as HINDUS

 

HINDU: There is no such word ever used by purvacharyas.

 

The first use was by Arabs who used (SINDHU Valley) Inidans as slaves,

then greeks used it some.

 

1: THE WORD HINDU DENOTES THE REGION (South of the River Indus)

and Implied meaning has been Slaves (as used by Arabs)

 

2: Caste is not a big issue in any Sri Vaishnava's live (Except Marriages)

 

NAMMAZHWAR (Whose Thiruvaimozhi is being written in this list - Thanks)

was a Born Shudra (Actually lower), But To all VAISHNAVAS he is the foremost

and IS IN EVERY VAISHNAVA home, (brahmins as well)

 

The CASTE system has been the most MISUNDERSTOOD concept and

purposely mis-construed and mis-informed by INVADING communities.

 

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG IN CASTE SYSTEM,

 

TODAY: You go to a doctor to get Medical treatment, and hire a

construction worker to build your home,

 

Can i call this Discrimination why don't you go to that Construction worker....

for your medical treatment........

 

Just the education and bent of Mind, this is the Root of the Caste system,

 

CASTE IS NOT BY BIRTH (We also have to perform NITHYAKARMAS)

 

(JAATHI is Made by men, for insulating themselves, is BY BIRTH)

 

Veda Vyasa, (The Great who aranged all the Vedas and made them available to all)

was not a Brahmin by Birth, But we all revere HIM the MOST.

 

Lord Krishna, Lord RAMA NONE of them were born Brahmins, But the

Bhagawad Gita and Ramanyana are the heart of the Vedic Dharma.

The point is when you see mis-informed folks, or others

spreading such incorect information about us (The Followers of Vedic Dharma)

 

We have to try and put the Truth in front:

 

1. CASTE IS NOT BASED ON BIRTH, BUT BY WHAT WE DO.

 

[ThiruppanaAzwar, Nammazhwar, Veda Vyasa, Lord Krisha, etc....]

 

In educated Sri -Vaishnava families it is incorrect to even talk of Varnas,

[Though you have to perform your duties based on your Varna]

 

e.g: Ramanuja (10Th century) had a main Acharya, who guided him in early years,

He was a Non-Brahmin, They stayed and ate in the same place, but in the morning

they both did their duties as per their Respective Varna.

[because his wife made a issue of His Acharya's Varna

(rather than see him as a Devotee) - Every devotee is treated as the LORD

himself,

He even parted ways with HIS wife]

 

Towards Ramanuja's end (about 110 Yrs ) his close disciple (Uranga VilliDasar, a

Shudra by birth)

was always by him, Other Brahmins always asked Ramanuja to accept them as his

Right Hand

 

Ramanuja said, VilliDasar is the best Vaishnava Dasan as he does not

have the ego that comes naturally to many Brahmins, (Out of education)

 

Moreover he wanted to the World to know that Varna is not important,

what they DO IS MOST IMPORTANT. (Being a devotee of the Lord is)

 

[adiyEN is a follower of Ramanuja Sampradaya: Equality, God Love and Moksha for

all]

Hence we address ourselves as adiyEn Ramanuja Dasan]

 

Sri Viashnava Sampradaya is as old as the Creation, but Sri Ramanuja,

consolidated it,

codofied it made is available to all.

 

[Acharyas like Vilancholipillai: Disciple of Pillai Lokacharya : (great

Srivaihsnava Acharya)

was a Harijan, and he in turn had many many Brahmin Disciples,]

 

By what we (Most Brahmins) do today, Exchange money for our services,

we will fit the Shudra Varna better.

 

If (Brahmins) do not do :

1. Tri Kala Sandhya (A form of Meditation and prayer)

2. Aupasana, Agnihotra (Twice a day)

3. ThiruAradhana (Once a day)

 

Eat food as prasadam (only after being offer to LORD)

Do not Consume stimulants (Coffee, Tea, Soda is also a stimulant)

Then we can try to call ourselves as Brahmin,

 

JUST BY BIRTH WE CANNOT BE a CASTE (Varna),

We have to do the NityaKarma Associated with that Varna

 

By Birth, WE can only be a JAATI (Root: Janma)

It is not true to say that the Hindu was first used by Arabs. Hindu is a Prakrit form of Sindhu and has most likely come from Saurashtra where Somnath becomes Homnath and Sorath becomes Horath.
