Hello all,

 

The topic is of temple assets and recovery and

maintainence.

 

I have been interacting actively with one Sri. Hujjein

Babu who is actively getting the temple property

belonging to Chennai - Egmore Perumal Koil temple back

into the temple fold. He also has many things to his

credit like brining back the chariot of the temple

into working condition, rebuilding the Bhajan Mandapam

at a project cost of more than 20 Lakhs and endless

activities connected with this temple.

 

Now this coming thursday (31.10.02) there is a

eviciton order he has received 100 % out of his own

efforts single handedly. The property in question has

been illegally occupied by a politically powerful

party who has been using it for the past many years

for running a liquor shop. ( Temple property for

running liquor shops.strange right surprisingly...:-(

this is the sad state of temple assets today)

 

Now my thoughts are can we develop a template or a

model for future use based on collective thoughts.

This can form a part of the over all website in the

utility tools for divyadesam. Further it can be put to

use as a model for evictions and illegal encrochments

as and when it happens and where ever it happens.

 

Further we should also have a list pasted in the

temple notice board and on all the temple properties

which are under illegal occupation and particular

empasising the person who is occupying it and the rent

paid/arrears from him.

 

Let us bring the culprits to the public eyes and then

we can fight for justice.

 

The temple properties are the arteries for the good

health of the temple and if they are cut off we can

expect the answer in the days/months/ and if lucky

years to come....

 

Any thoughts... or action plan...?????
