Guest guest
Dear Bhagavatas: THANKS We are glad to announce that the total membership of your journal has reached around 2100 including about 1600 Active members and 550 + whose mails have bounced *temporarily* due to the limited capacity of their mail boxes. More than 95% of members of other Srivaishnava groups are already members of "Sri Ranga Sri" - a figure that has been reached within just 2 years of its inauguration. This was due in no mean measure to the encouragement, help and cooperation of our sister groups who hosted our Editorials and those of our current members who have recommended / suggested new members and the enthusiasm of new members themselves joining on their own volition. We place on record our heartfelt thanks to all those who helped thus in building up this database. We also record our thanks to all the contributors who have strived to educate and enrich our knowledge on our Sampradayam through "Sri Ranga Sri". REPETITIONS: We have feedback from many members who are also members in other groups saying that the same postings received repeatedly from multiple groups are annoying, necessitating time and effort to delete the excessive ones on a daily basis. This is to avoid cluttering of the limited storage space in their mail box and other related problems. This happens because some of the Internet providers strictly restrict the capacity allowed to the users. Many of the members prefer to receive only articles that are exclusively featured in "Sri Ranga Sri" and are not "Copycat versions" appearing elsewhere. We request all the contributors to post to "Sri Ranga Sri" ONLY articles meant "EXCLUSIVELY", we repeat "EXCLUSIVELY", for being featured in "Sri Ranga Sri". The policy of not featuring in “Sri Ranga Sri, postings appearing elsewhere was taken also because voluminous irrelevant, even irreverent and tangential postings in the form of debates and discussions by anybody and every body were crowding the already limited capacity of their mail boxes edging out quality articles. However, some members have suggested that by way of rare exception, a few quality articles of exceptional value appearing elsewhere may be hosted in “Sri Ranga Sri”. Accordingly, in partial modification of the above policy, we will be featuring some such articles in “Sri Ranga Sri”. Similarly, if the moderators of other lists find anything in "Sri Ranga Sri" worthy of being flashed in their sites, they are most welcome to request posting, or in the alternative, they may do so themselves, of course, with due acknowledgement of the source.
