Guest guest
MODERATOR'S NOTE: Dear Bhagavatas: May I invite your attention to my request that any further discussions on the subject may be done through personal mails? Dasoham Anbil Ramaswamy ==================================== Sir, Thanks for your mail.Glad that you could understand the difference between the three.By way of answering your question on the not worshiping the other lords by srivaishnavas,I would like to point out that everyone will agree that there can be one and only one God-the supreem power.According to the vaishnavets it is THE GOD VISHNU is that one and only one suprimum-THE PARAMAPURUSHA. However, they have faith in and accept the puranas, that speak of the various devatas. They believe that only Lord Vishun is the ultimate god and the other devine beings are all devatantarams. At the same time it is to be stressed that a true vaishnavan will not, rather should not indulge in Sivanindana or dushana.Siva is also a vaishanva, and thus He should be worshiped. The only thing, according to the vaishnavas is that while worshiping Siva, the devotee should bear in mind that Siva is the supreme srivaishanava desrving deep regard and respect. I will explain in more detail in a seperate article. with regards, V.KANNAN >SIR, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR REPLY. > I UNDERSTOOD THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE THREE. > ONLY ONE DOUBT I HAVE. ie, DOES RAMANUJAS PHILOSOPHY SAY THAT WORSHIP > OF ANYA DEVATA'S,IS PROHIBITED INIT. > WHY DO THE VAISHNAVAS DO NOT GO TO SHIVA TEMPLES. > REGARDS > CDR BVN
