Vanakkam Dear Vaishnava Brothers & Sisters,

 

i am writing this mail to you all, in order to find out if there is a

possibility of studying Sri Vaishnava Scriptures,Customs,Rituals

close

to Sri Rangam Temple in Trichy(India)?

 

I follow mainly the Gaudiya Vaisnavam Direction but eagerly to learn

and understand also the Sri Vaishnavam Belief. I feel very blessed to

be a Vaisnava, because this has given my life a new Identity as well

as Hope in my LIFE itself. Unfortunatly I was not born in a Vaishnava

Family but luckily in a Shaiva Hindu one and somehow the Shaiva way

of

Life did not make much sense (not meaning it as an insult) to me.

Also

the people i knew didn´t take it serious or even gave at least a

try

to follow it(that includes my entire family and relatives)therefore

it

was very hard for me to find a very meaningfull explaination to my

Existence. I was once even prepared to convert to Islam, thank

Krishna

i was rescued, because otherwise i would have missed the most

beautiful and Absolute true Religion in this hole Universe.

 

Through an "accident"(i personally see it more as a merciful

intentsion of Bhagavan) to have been shown the right and true path of

my life. Since then i tried to read and have read many scriptures

like

the holy Geeta as well as other scriptures. I am very intrested in

the

Deity workship and do it myself at home, but need more deep and

proper

understanding than just doing itself.

 

I am writing here in this forum to find out more about the Sri

Vaishnava Direction, Belief, Ritual and Customs, from the very

childhood i got attracted to Sri Maha Vishnus Form and HIS tales.

I myself have read a little about Sri Vaishnavam but do want to

explore more and especially proper. I have seen many websites but

still though feel a bit lost because the foundation of the Belief was

not entirely there. Please advise me if there is a place where you

can

learn this thing,preferably in English if not Tamil(i understand

Tamil

but can hardly write or read it). I thinking of a small but very

educative crash course, if possibile in 3 months?

 

Is there a school?Ashram?or even a priest, or a person who is

qualified to explain and teach me sanskrit,puja, rituals, yajna(fire

cermonie), deity workship etc. ??? PLEASE PLEASE do eamil me with
