Dear Sri.Madhavan,

 

It is really a very noble thought indeed of yours and adiyane

commends you for it wholeheartedly.

 

I live and work in Kuwait and we are virtually just a few hundred

miles away from the epicentre of where the War might break out

anytime. When War does break out -- and at this moment it does seem

as though it will sooner than later -- we here in Kuwait will not

only have a ring-side view of it, but might have to face upto to its

direct consequences, both expected and unintended.

 

In this grave hour of a gathering world crisis, the opening lines of

the Bhagavath-gita seem to ring in adiyane's ears :

 

"dharmakshetre kurukshetre samavetaa yuyutsavaH

maamakaaH paaNDavaashchaiva kimakurvata sanjaya"

 

In this bloody war-to-be, it's really very difficult to tell who are

Pandavas and who the Kauravas and whose side is God and Dharma really

on...

 

Adiyane would urge all bhAgavatAs like your good self everywhere in

the world to offer their sincere prayers to God to somehow avert this

War. No matter who wins or loses this one, it is the poor, common

people on both sides who will surely suffer most the tragic

consequences of it. It is they who least deserve the misfortune that

befalls everyone when a war breaks out.
