Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

The question was posed on 5th March 2003 and the answer has come on its own on

6th march 2003 in Shri SadagopanIyengar swami's article " Lord Remembers" . Even

before you ask HE GIVES.

 

LORD IS OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT AND OMNIPRESENT. WE HAVE TO BE PATIENT. THERE IS

ALWAYS LIGHT AT THE END OF TUNNEL.

Dear Bhagavatha,

 

Shubhamastu.

 

Your doubt reflects the state of mind of crores of people who are suffering

from something or the other and try to pray EMBERUMAAN, expecting something to

happen or something to received from HIM. Unless our expectation is granted , we

automatically doubt whether Our Lord Emberumaan is listening to our prayers or

not.

 

Such an act is pure business and not the Devotion with which one should pray.

 

You are aware or should become well become aware, any prayer made to The Lord

with epectation or any reward is no prayer at all.

 

When you are facing any adverse situation, you shd treat it as what you are to

experience due to the past KARMAS. Our ELDERS have instructed us to Cling to The

Lotus Feet of The Lord and treat everything as God given gift, whether we like

them or not. We shd boldly and with full faith in Him, leave everything to Him.

We shd not ask anything in return to our prayers. If we start disassociating OUR

SELVES from all that is happening as His LEELA, then no doubt ever will enter

our minds.

 

There is no need for any mystery to Happen separately, as everything that

happened, happening and going to happen are all according HIS CHITTAM and

already studded with mysteries whichwe can not understand. If we pray

anticipating something to happen mysteriously, our prayer becomes an expectation

in return.

 

This attitude is very easy to say but in practice it is a very tough task. We

can make a beginning and allow this process to go on. Slowly, but surely our

minds will settle down in the very thoughts of The Lord and Bestow Peace on us

and we will start taking things as they happen and we will not feel frustrated

and the doubts that have been raised about God's listening to our Prayers will

slowly fade away and immense faith will set in our minds

 

Once we sincerely leave everything to HIM and surrender to HIM unconditionally

and willingnly, as advised by our Acharyas, Azhwars and Great Bhagavaths our

minds will tend to be tamed and we will relish our prayers to HIM and start

experiencing the BLISS (SHAANTHI) .
