Acharya TN celebration at Ranganatha Temple, Pomona, NY April 6, 2003

Dear Bhaktas,

 

Adiyen had the mahabhagyam of participating in the grand

Tirunkashatram celebration of H.H. Srimad Paravakottai Andavan Swami,

the present Pontiff at Srimad Poundarikapuram Ashramam. Adiyen is at

a loss of words to appreciate the outstanding efforts of Sriman T.R.

Govindarajan Swamin for his superb organization of the celebration.

His attention to every minute detail of this celebration was

remarkable and this ensured a smooth flow of events. Adiyen cannot

find sufficient superlatives to describe the Acharya Bhakti of

ParamaIkanti SarvaBhouman, Sri Venkat Kanumalla Swamin. He took great

pains to make available all the resources of the Ranganatha Temple

for this sacred occasion. His performance of the Sudarshana Homam in

strict accordance with the dictates of the Shastras was a sight for

the Gods to see! Thank you is too small a word for the magnificent

contributions of Sriman Venkat Kanumalla Swamin. Adiyen wishes to

thank Sriman Sadagopan Swamin for leading the Parayanam of Sri Desika

Dhivya Sahasranamam. Adiyen is most envious of the Desika Stotra

Parayanam skills of Srimans Shyam Sreenivasan Swamin and Venkat

Srinivasan Swamin. They did a magnificent job of leading the Ghosti

under the watchful eyes and guidance of their father, U.Ve. Sri

Srinivasan Swamin. It was a great honor to have the participation of

this elderly and most scholarly Bhagavata for this blessed event.

Special thanks are also due to to Sriman Prasad Swamin for leading

the Veda Parayana Ghosti and Sriman Poondi Vijayaraghavan Swamin for

the Desika Prabandha Parayanam.

 

Adiyen is most thankful to all Bhagavatas, who took great pains and

travelled considerable distance to take part in the celebration. It

was most touching to see the participation of Shishyas from all the

Matams/Ashramams (Parakala Matham, Ahobila Matham, Periya Ashramam,

Poundarikapuram Ashramam, and Ashtanga yoga vigyAna mandiram-the

Ashramam of H.H. Sri Rangapriya Mahadesikan Swami). Special thanks

are due to Sri Krishna Kanumalla Swamin and Sri Aravamudhan Swamin

for their tireless efforts of Kaimkaryam at the Madapalli.

 

Even though all of us are located more than 8000 miles away from

Srirangam, the limitless compassion of H.H. and the munificent grace

of the Divine Couple enabled shishyas and abhimanis to partake of the

Vaibhavam of H.H. in a fitting manner at Sri Ranganatha Temple,

Pomona, NY.

Dear Bhaghavatas:

 

The CD Sri Gopala Vimshati upanyasam by H.H. Sri

Poundarikapuram Srimath Andavan Sri Paravakottai

Sri Gopala Desika Maha Desikan swami was made from

the tape by Sriman Srinivasan(of Buffalo, now residing in

Peensylvania) of Srirangam Periashrmam. He was assisted by

Sriman Govindarajan and his sahadharmini Sumithra Govindarajan.

 

The CD looks very professional. The cover has pictures of

Sri Rajagopala Perumal, Sri Ramanuja, Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevar,

Sri Vedanta Desikar, HH Prakrutham Poundareekapuram Andavan, and

RangaVimanam of Srirangam temple. The front of CD again has pictures

of Mannarkudi Sri Rajagopala Perumal, Sri Ramanuja, Sri Vedanta

Desikar, and HH Prakrutham Poundareekapuram Andavan. The quality of

recording is excellent. It was energising to hear Acahaaryaa's

'arulmozhigaL' on the day of HH's Tirunakashatram.

 

Thanks are due to Sri Srinivasan and Govindarjan dampathis who made

this possible inspite of their busy schedule in a short time.
