Guest guest
Dear friends, I would be grateful if anyone could please throw some light on a little known detail about Swami Desikan's life. When Swamy left SriRangam to escape the occupation/invasion of the Ghazni marauders, it is known that he lived quietly for over a decade in the village of Satyaakaalam (near Melkote, Karnataka). Did Swami's 'dharma-patni' and 'tirukumArar' also live with him in Satyaakaalam during that period or did they live in Thoopul? If Swami was living alone in Satyaakaalam, is there any historical account of his days there -- where he lived, what was his daily regimen, who looked after him etc.? Will be grateful for any references to extant biographical works also. Thanks and regards, dAsan, Sudarshan The New Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo. http://search.
