Guest guest
Regarding the query of SrI Arun Kumar and the response below, I have briefly gone through the book by SrI Ganapati Sthapati. I was looking for information on the differences between the temple construction between the two vaishNava Agama-s, and did not find much that was clear from the book. The book deals extensively with the sculpturing of idols etc. While obviously it is a book by a great and well-recognized sthapati, it is not devoted to specifically temple construction, but more to the sculpturing of idols (both vaishNava and Saiva), as far as my memory serves me. There is a series on Agama-s published by Kalpataru Research Academy, consiting of 10 volumes or so, that deal with various aspects of Agama. Again, nothing specific to the vaishNava temple construction that I can recall. I have posted about seven write-ups on pAncarAtra Agama in general in the bhakti list some four or five years back, but I have specifically not dealt with temple construction in that write-up. The bottom line is, that I have looked for books on vaishNava temple cosntruction, and have not come across a satisfactory description so far. Some people have told me that the Melkote SamskRt Academy has several publications on Agama-s, but my letters to them have met with no response. -Krishnamachari Message: 3 Fri, 9 May 2003 15:27:26 -0700 (PDT) "Dr.Gajaraj" <gajarajk Re: does anyone have info on temple Agama SAAtrAm?
