Guest guest
Just to give a different perspective of the passage quoted from chAndogya upanishad, SrI N. S. ananta ra'ngAcArya translates the passge referenced, indicating that what is not 'seen' by Svetaketu is 'sUkshma', and not "SUnya". In other words, that which from which everything arises is to be understood as 'sUkshma', and not as 'SUnya' or 'non-existent' in this context. The publication by SrI Ramakrishna Mutt, authored by 'aNNA' also gives the meaning roughly as "that which is suKshma and atomic in size", etc. I believe the words aN'imAnam' and 'aNiman evam' refer to this atomic nature of this subtle entity. My apologies if I have misunderstood the passage. -Krishnamachari -Krishnamachari wrote: Srirangasri- ------ There are 12 messages in this issue.
