It was celebrated on Friday 1st of Aug. 03. The Goshti started at 6 pm in the evening with Tirupallandu followed by Natchiyar Tirumozhi and 10th Pattu of Tiruvaimozhi. It was very wonderful that more than 30 swamis and 10 stiris chanted these prabandam. During the 8th tirumozhi in Nachiyar tirumozhi, Ackkara Adisil was offered to lord Azhagappiran (Kannan). Then Tiruvaradhanam was performed and the goshti was completed with Sattumarai, Tirtha prasadam, Goshti and Vaziya tirunamam of both Swami Desikan and Swami Manavala Mamunigal. In the middle Godastuti of Swami Desivan was chanted by Astigas and the greatness and glory of Andal was narrated. The importance of Nivedanam of Akkara-adisil was also narrated to Astikas. Really that was a very very fruitful evening for all. Let us join the future and celebrate such festivals in our towns also. With Danyavad, V.C. Govindarajan, Sanskrit TEacher, Muscat.
