swami sannidhyil adiyen varadharaja dasan samarpitha

vinnappam,

To various enquiries I have following for the

sumbission of desikadasas.

Sri Oppiliappan Sri Pattabisheka Ramar temple is

situated near

velachery vijaya nagar, Approximately 2-2 1/2

kilometers from vijayanagar bus terminus.

Route:

>From vijayanagar bus terminus towards Tambaram a

bridge (underconstruction) for mrts project is

underway. we have to take a right turn from the edge

of the bridge which goes to Madipakkam/ kilakkattalai.

Second right from that point is Srinivasan Salai

where the temple is situated.

Some more points on this temple :

All the area near this temple have the well water

extremely salty and unpottable. But this temple has a

very sweet water which lasts till extreme summer.

Second point is that after thiruvinnagar (Oppiliappan

Koil) this is the only Oppiliappan temple in India

(world).

This temple has a small Swamy desika utsava murthy

(more than 200-300 years old) and prathi sravanam

thirumanjanam is being performed for both.

Add to this the present pontiff of Sri Ahobilamath has

performed mangalasasanam and due to the chaturmasa

sankalpam swami is not in a position to attend the

samprokshanam and swamy has promised to visit the

temple for a full day aaradhanam of sri Ahobilasan in

this temple.
