Swamy DeSikan Thiruvadigale Saranam !!!

 

As we approach DeSika varsham 735 (oct 5th), it is also worthy to note that

the same day of Purataasi thiruvoNam also marks the thirunakshatram of

another great acharya sarvabhouma of Sri Sampradayam. He is none other than

Sri Brahmatantra Swatantra Parakala Yatindra Maha Deshikan, the first

yatishvara acharya of Sri Brahmatantra Swatantra Parakala Matham, that was

established under the direct command of Swamy Deshikan, at Kanchipuram.

Swamy Brahmatantra Swatantra Jeeyar was a direct disciple of Swamy Deshika

and features as an acharya in all the guruparamparais namely - Manthrartha

paramparai, Bhagavad vishaya paramparai and Sri Bhashya paramparai.

 

In this and the following posts, we shall celebrate the glories, works and

avataara vaibhavam of this great acharya.

 

Avatara Vaibhavam -

The following accounts are based purely on 3000 padi guruparampara prabhavam

of Tritiya Brahmatantra Swatantra Parakala Maha DeSikan (III rd Jeeyar -

Parakala Matham)

 

Avataram -

He was born in 1286 ACE in the month of Purattasi and shravana nakshatram

just like Swamy Deshikan. Sri Brahmatantra Swatantra Jeeyar hailed from

Kaundinya gothram and in his poorvAshramam was known as Veeravalli

Perarulalaiyyan and also as Hasteeshar.
