Dear Asthikas, It is our piravippayan that we had had a chance to remember our

divya dampathi and acharyan on the mangala dinam Purattasi Sravanam. Here in

Muscat city the celebration was held at Sri. Veera raghavachariar resident. The

celebration started at 7.30 pm with Nyasa Dasakam, Sri Hayagriva Stotram etc.

then Divyaprabandam was recited by more than 30 swamins and swaminees. Sriman

Ramesh led us in chanting divaprabandam along with Tirumadal with proper rhyme.

It was so great to have an age old sampradaya swamin from chenni to glory this

occation. Adikkalappattu, Tituchinnamalai (first time), Prabhanda Saram and

Pillayandadi were recited. Special Aradhanam was performed to Kannapiran. Then

again stotra patas were recited for more than 45 mins. then during the

nivedanam, Sriman Vijaya narayanan had read the ariticle on Swami Desikan, which

was published in SrirangaSri few days before, which was translated by Sri U.Ve.

Anbil swami. The copies were distributed to every

asthika. Special pranams to Anbil swamin. Since Swami's Stotrapata classes

goingon here in muscat, the students (different age group) wanted to have a

competition, like last year this year too in Sri Hayagriva Stotram and it will

be conducted shortly. The Sathumarai was held at 10.20 pm. then Tirtha

prasadam, loka kshemartham Archanai was also performed. Asthikas had the

prasadam at 11.00 pm. Though they had arrived from office at 7 pm they all were

ready at the venue at 7.35 pm. and celebration was started. Anantha Pranam for

their devotion. But onething was missing that children did not take part this

time. May be other reasons, this is a very rare and unique occation, i request

and pray all the parents to give opportunity to get blessings of Sri Srinivasan

and Acharyan, with which they will be blessed in their life. What else they

want and get and u can offer to your children in their life....? Dasan, V.C.

Govindarajan, Sanskrit Teacher, Muscat.
