ANNOUNCEMENT

------------

The "Tiruvenkatam Group", Kuwait, is happy and proud

to announce the forthcoming publication of "Hinduism

Rediscovered" authored by Sri.Anbil Ramaswamy.

In his capacity as the owner-editor of the electronic

journal "SriRangasri", Sri Ramaswamy over the years

has written several excellent articles on Hindu

scripture, philosophy, theology and religion with

especial accent on the Vedantic school of Sri

Ramanujacharya which today has come to be known as

'SriVaishnavam'. These articles remain till today

archived in digital format at the "Sri Ranga Sri" and

other Internet web-sites on the worldwide Internet.

The members of the Tiruvenkatam Group, Kuwait, had for

long regarded these archived articles of Sri Ramaswamy

as a very valuable and well-researched source of

information and reference on many important topics of

SriVaishnavam. As we all know Sri Anbil Ramaswamy not

only brings scholarly depth and thoroughness to bear

on the subjects dealt with but also presents it all in

simple language and idiom appealing both to the lay

and modern sensibility.

It is for the above reason that the Tiruvenkatam Group

felt that the archived articles at 'SriRangasri'

should find a much wider and more popular audience of

readers and students of SriVaishnavam than at present.

We have therefore decided to publish them as a

handsome book so that eventually "Hinduism

Re-discovered" truly assumes the form it deserves viz.

as a concise but comprehensive encyclopaedia of

SriVaishnavite thought on Vedanta.

****************

The "Tiruvenkatam Group" is a non-institutional,

non-profit and non-formal 'satsangh' of persons living

and working in Kuwait. The Group comprises of NRI

(non-resident Indians) professionals, who along with

their families, have been brought together by common

religious devotion and attachment for the Deity of

Tiruvenkatam, Lord Venkateshwara. The Group engages

itself in both religious activities and charity work

in Kuwait. The activities include:

 organizing community 'satsangh'

 enable forums for learning Vedas,

Divya-Prabhandhams and other Vedantic scriptural works

 raise charity for religious institutions in

India such as temples, 'veda-pAtashAlA', Mutts and

Ashrams.

 cooperate with other religious-minded

associations, both in Kuwait and elsewhere in India or

abroad, in support of endeavours that seek to promote

and further the cause of Vedic worship and Vedantic

faith.

 publish in order to popularize the rich,

ancient literature of the Vedantic faith (the

'itihAsa', 'purana', Upanishads, the works of Vedantic

'achAryAs' and seers etc.)

 maintain the Group's own web-site at

Tiruvenkatam

The small band of men and women in Kuwait that today

calls itself the "Tiruvenkatam Group" thus vigorously

pursues its above goals in quiet but constructive

ways. The publication of "Hinduism Re-discovered" is

an example of the Group's continuing commitment to its

stated goals.
