Hinduism Rediscovered : A Book by SrIman Anbil Swamy

Mon, 01 Mar 2004 14:46:50 -0500

SrI:

Dear Devotees:

It is my pleasure to recommend the content rich book that is being

printed now at Bangalore under the sponsorship of Thiruvengatam

Group . I am referring to the outstanding book by SrI Anbil

Ramaswamy, who is untiringly devoting his time to serving the overseas SrI

VaishNava Community thru his leadership as the Editor of SrI Ranga Sri now

and other lists before.

He is a devout sishyar of HH PoundarIkapuram Andavan and is close to

many AchArya PurushAs in India .He is known to many of us as an

indefatigable champion of SrI VisishtAdhavithic tatthvAs .

Through pioneering research powered by his limitless zeal and a

spirit of service to the public in general and overseas Indians in

particuar, Anbil Swamy has assembled in this book a coherent history of the

Vedic religion under 8 headings (Chapters) that are united in a seamless

fashion.

The first chapter defines the scope of the book and summarizes the

cardinal principles of Hinduism as a SanAthana dharmam.

After that synopsis , in the second chapter , Anbil Swamy moves on

to the role of religion in human life in terms of unique anushtAnams ,

SaadhanAs , Goals in life ( PurushArTams) of our Parama Vaidhika matham .

Third chapter is a gem in that it deals with the Tatthva Thrayam

(the three eternal realities): ChEthanam , achEthanam and Iswaran.

This is an esential knowledge that every VisihtAdhvathin has to absorb and

relate to for developing appreciation of the richness of our darsanam.

The fourth chapter leads on to saadhana and SaranAgathy as an

unfailing route to assure liberation from the shackles of the two kinds of

karmAs : Paapam and PuNyam.

The fifth chapter dwells on the inadequacies of MaayA Vaadhins as

laid out by our PoorvAchAryAs.

The Sixth chapter progresses to highlight the lives and Vaibhavams

of our AzhwArs and the Guru Paramparai all the way to presetn day

AchAryAs and their mahOpakAram to us.

The seventh chapter takes us on to Srishti, Sthithi and SamhAram

in modern day , scintific terms. The title of this chapter is :

Evolution and Dissolution of Matter, Space and Time.

The concluding Eighth chapter is a valuable bibiliography and a

Time-index of global events and a glossary of words used in the book.

SrI Anbil Ramaswamy has done yeoman service in distilling the

essence of what he has learnt from kaalakshEpams with many erudite AchAryAs and

presenting to the aasthikAs a most welcome book on " Hinduism

Revisited".

Please contact SrI Anbil Swamy for acquiring this valuable book for

Your family library . This book will be released during the upcoming

birthday of SrIMad PoundarIkapuram Andavan at Srirangam (Panguni RohiNi).

May Anbil Swamy's Kaimkarya Sri grow further and furhter !

SrI BhUmi DEvi SamEtha SrI Oppiliappan ThiruvadigaLE SaraNam,

Sadagopan
