Dear SrI Nrusimha BhakthAs :

 

We have now clear estimates from SrI Ahobila Matam

itself on the Cost for reconstruction and consecration of

the SrI Paadhukais of PoorvAchAryAs of SrI Matam

going back to 608 years of glorious SrI VaishNavite

History .

 

The estimated amount is $450 per a set of

AchArya Paadhukais or 20,000 Rs .

 

Each PaadhukA of the Twin set would need Rs.8,500

for purchasing 1 KIlo of Silver . The Silver purchase

alone will then be Rs.17,000 and the rest is Labor for

skillful reconstrcuction by Silver Smiths . It is possible that

a Ruby might be placed on the Kumizhis ( Toe holds)

to symbolize the AchAryA's dispelling the ajn~Anam of

the SamsAris from near and far .

 

So far 5 of the remaining 41 AchArya PaadhukAs

have been FULLY spoken for :

 

1. First Pattam : Adhi VaNN SaThakOpa Jeeyar (adiyEn

has the BhAgyam to be accepted as a sponsor) .

 

2. Second Pattam : SrI NaarAyaNa Yahteendhra

MahA Desikan ( First of the 8 Azhagiya Singars

having SrIman NaarAyaNa Naamam as SanyAsis) :

A devout Sishyar from Illinois , USA belonging originally

to ThirukkalyANapuram is sponsoring this set .

 

3. Sixth Pattam : SrI Shashta ParAnkusa Yatheendhra

MahA Desikan , who entered the Ahobilam Cave to

perform AarAdhanam for SrI Lakshmi Nrusimhan .

The year was 1513 C.E and His AarAdhanam

continues even today . This AchAryan's Paadhukais

are sponsored by a sishyar of Ahobila Matam from

SrI Ranganatha Temple , NY .

 

4 .The 7th Pattam : Spoken for by a devotee from India.

 

5. The 40th Pattam or the 41st Pattam : sponsored by

another sishyar of SrI Matam from SrI RanganAtha

Temple , who works in New York .

 

6. The Paadhukais of the 42nd , 43rd and 44th Pattams

have already been constructed and are in daily use for

PaadhukA AarAdhanam and SrI Paadha Theertham .

 

7. There are Partial sponsorships for the 27th Pattam

Azhagiya Singar ( Andal Amsam ) and the Third Azhagiya

Singar so far ( From devotees in Canada and London , UK).

 

We have now the great bhAgyam of renovating

the AchArya SrI Paadhukais of following Pattams

so that they can continue to serve as Jn~Ana

dheepams for centuries :

 

1. 4th and the 5th Pattams( 2)

 

2. 8th to 40th Pattams ( 33 )
