Guest guest
Dear Sirs / Madams I remember to have read in some books long back on the below subject. I request your kindselves to clarify / educate me on the same. This is regarding to the nitya abhishekam which is done to the lord Sri Venkateshwara swamy at Tirumala. I would like to be educated on why nitya abhishekam is not done to the lord and it is conducted only on Fridays. pl help to correct me if I am wrong. I also understand that Sri Ramanujacharya was the sage who earmarked the Pooja vidhis to the Vishnawa temples, Tirumala also being one. Prior to this I am told that abhishekam was conducted daily. Is this true. Humble request for clarification. With Best Wishes & Regards G. SATYA NARAYANAN
Guest guest
It is true that Udaiyavar made a great influence in sri vaishnavite temples. But the daily rituals in Tirumala were & are performed as per vaikanasa agama. I believe Swami would not have interfered in the daily rituals. On Sat, 24 Jul 2004 sathya wrote : >Dear Sirs / Madams > >I remember to have read in some books long back on the below subject.
