Dear Bhagavatas;

Though the Administration has been providing excellent service,

of late, a few problems were encountered by me. I believe that members and

moderators of sister groups might also be experiencing similar problems. I

am, therefore, copying for your information 3 complaints lodged today with

Customer care.

If you also face similar problems, please let me know.

if so, it is time that moderators of all the groups fraternity took up these

issues with the Administration for fixing them permanently.

Three Complaints to Administration

 

1. Non members getting mails from Srirangasri:

I am the Owner / Moderator of “Srirangasri” group.

Very often, we get complaints from non members (i.e.) those whose ids do not

figure either in the list of “Active” members or in the “Bouncing” lists,

that they are receiving mails from our group.

For example –

 

Betty Cheah bettycheah. A complaint has already been lodged with

Administration but the person seems to be receiving mails and

wants to be de-d.

 

We do not wish to have on our mailing list even a single person who is

unwilling to receive our mails.

Please do the needful and oblige.

2. Being d from other Groups.

I am a member of Tiruvenkatam .

I have NEVER EVER requested to from the group. Annoyingly too

often,

I get a message from Notification

confirm-unsub-“ClgLaQv9_SUsxpBjEA838OWC7h4”

as follows:

”Hello,

We have received a request from you to from the

Tiruvenkatam group. Please confirm your request by

replying to this message. If you do not wish to from

tiruvenkatam, please ignore this message.

 

Regards,

 

Customer Care”

And, within a couple of days, I get another message saying that my request

for unsubscribing from the Tiruvenkatam has been completed and I

find Tiruvenkatam group dropped out of “My Groups”.

 

Every time I , the same is getting repeated.

 

I have already lodged a complaint with Customer Care. But, the problem

continues.

Even today (25th July 2004), I received a similar notification.

I feel that this is the handiwork of some spammers.

Please investigate and fix the problem and oblige.

3. Request for membership in my own group!

I am the owner/ Moderator of Srirangasri . Sometimes, I get

a message purporting to emanate from Administration saying that

my request for membership cannot be processed because I am already a member.

Why would I request membership for my own group?

I have also complained about this to customer care.

 

This also seems to be the work of some antisocial elements.

Please look into this and fix the problem permanently.
