This Year's UpAkarmA dates as published in Sri Ranganatha Paduka

Reproduced here are the dates for this years UpAkarma for Srirangam

Srimath Andavan Ashramam Sishyas as published in this month's edition

of Sri Ranganatha Paduka.

 

The reason quoted is that this year, in the month of Aadi, there are

2 Amavasya which results in 2 Sravanam(Adhika Sravanam which occurs

first and Nija Sravanam which occurs later). The Rig and Yajur

upakarma should be done in Nija Sravanam and not during earlier

occuring Adhika Sravanam.

 

Saturday Aug 28, 2004: Rig Upakarma

Sunday Aug 29, 2004: Yajur Upakarma

Monday Aug 30, 2004: GAyathri Japam

Thursday Sep 16, 2004: Sama Upakarma

different time. Please let me know.
