There are times in which an initaitive has to be taken

that may appear rather unusual from a Bhagavath /

BhAgavatha Kaimkaryam point of view . Here is one such instance ,

where the Temple Board seeks your understanding & support

before I describe this one time initiative . Here is the background:

 

TODAY:

 

SrI RanganAtha Temple is fortunate to be served by gifted Priests

who are known for their erudition in VedAs and/or Dhvya Prabhandhams ,

or Tarka-MeemAmsam , SrI BhAshyam and other SrI Sookthis central

to the life of Sri VaishNavAs . Some of them are known for Aagamic

skills and alankAram skills . We have been blessed to have A FLOW

of very talented ArchakAs to serve Lord RanganAtha .

 

TOMORROW:

 

Due to lack of proper priest quarters outside the temple premises ,

the priests are staying NOW inside cramped quarters with two priests

to a room . They are unable to bring their families either because of

this special space situation . Since the opening of the temple some

three years ago . Other temples in this country such as the Pittsburgh

and Massachusetts Temple et al have seperate priest quarters ,

which mkaes their professional and personal life enjoyable .

We would like to build 2 Priest Quarters as a starter to help

the priests and their families, which are left behind in India

during their term of service .

 

SOLUTION :

 

The Board of Lord RanganAtha Temple has gotten permission from

New York State to have a one time RAFFLE to raise the Funds of $ 150,000

for the construction of TWO RESIDENCES FOR THE PRIESTS

at the temple grounds .NY State has authorized the sale of 1,500 RAFFLE

TICKETS AT $ 100 EACH .
