Abhishekam and rathnangi

dear bhagavathas,

I wd be grateful if anyone cd explain to me the

significance of doing abhishekam and also the

samarpanam of diamond ,gold and othe precoius

ornaments to the lord.I have immense faith in

following these traditions passed on to us by

elders.There are people who critisize such

practises.So we must be fully conversant with the same

in order to explain to those people.I shall be

grateful for the knowledge.
