Dear colleagues,

This is my reaction to the doubt raised.

The jevathma is assured of vaikuntaprapthi if the charanagathi has berm

performed with all five angas through a na acharyan. Poornaviswasam in emperuman

and the acharyan is amust. However whether the jeeva reaches Moksha immediately

after delivery from the sarira or there is atime interval is not clear.The

jeevathma has to pass though several lokas before reaching the sacred river.

Perhaps the jeevathma continues its existence for the twelve days before

staRTING ON THE CELESTAIL JOURNEY.

wHETHER THE JEEVA GOES to VAIKUNTHA, OR SWARGA OR NARAKA,it is mandatory on the

part of the son to perform the rites.THe vasu,rudra and adityas of pithrulokam

will accept the offerings.

It is for this reason that as followers of Ramanuja siddantha annual srardaham

is performed for even sanyasis including our acharyas by their heirs. even

though when accepts the sanyasashramam he is suppose to be reborn and with no

connection to his past family

A prapanna after leaving the body immediately reaches the surya loka through the

rays without any delay as per the upanishads & brahmasutras.Even it is argued

that if a prapanna leaves his body in the night he reaches surya loka through

the subtle rays of sun in the form of heat.Hence he does not stay here for 12

days like other mortals.We do shraddham every year for prapanna as our duty as

enjoined by vedas & also for lokasangrahartam.It has nothing to do with departed

soul which has reached paramapadam.But if we miss the shraddam ,sin will get

accumulated in our account.
