Adiyen took the following information from Pomona SriRanganatha Temple's

authentic calendar calculated by Sriman Kutty Sastrigal of Srirangam, who is

the hereditary yomiadharar of Srirangam temple.

1. Should have the bath at the beginning of both the Lunar and Solar

Eclipse with the Maha Sankalpa

2. In the case of Solar Eclipse, Tarpana is performed at the beginning

of the eclipse, soon after the Maha Sankalpa

3. FOr the Lunar Eclipse, Tarpana is to be performed after the

Madhyam/Middle of the eclipse.

4. For both SOlar & Lunar eclipses, vimochana snana is to be taken

after the ending of the eclipses.

5. Regarding the consumption of food, it should be stopped 9 hours

before the eclipse begins.
