SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:

Dearest Srivaishnavas,

 

Even though I am like that [as mentioned above], why

do I still desire for mOksham now with my prapatti,

some may get qualifications in due course.. I am sure

I would never ever get… and though I know that, with

such utter helplessness (aakinchanyam), and

considering your dayA (compassion) alone as the reason

and excuse, and having heard from pramaaNams that your

dayA can save one from any danger, I have sought and

asked You for that.. [With You as Parathvam, Your

sowseelyam is praamaaNam for me..]

 

aparaadha sahasra bhaajanam

pathitham bheema bhavaarNavOdharE

agathim saraNAgatham hare!

krupayaa kEvalam aathma saathkuru..[48]

 

me- who is the repository of innumerable thousands and

thousands of follies (or blunders- or crimes

committed); who has fallen into the deep, terrible

samsaaric ocean of worldly existence; who has no

qualification to perform any other means nor desire

for any other object or materials or other fruits; and

thus, who has performed the Saranagathi as the only

means at Your Feet… Oh HarE! The One who alone is

capable of destroying all [aparaadhams] paapams in one

sweep! Thus, with only Your dayaa (compassion) Your

grace alone- please enslave me and make me Your

servant.

 

Even if yugas, after yugas, if I perform and continue

to perform praayschittham to undo the paapmas that I

have so far committed, the paapams are so many in

thousands and thousands that there could be no way

that I can get them all cleared off. I am such a

repository of all such millions of aparaadhams.

similarly in Dayaasathakam]

 

Hence, I am completely and utterly helpless and have

no chance of any other means like bhakti yoga. Even

the swargas are like naraka to me and hence I do not

desire for any other fruits. Thus, I have become

agathi… wit no other means. Except You. But You can

not save on Your own- I realised as You are impartial

and have to be a balanced unbiased admistrator and the

lord of all and thus expect a small excuse of some

deed to save me… and You have also mentioned the same

in saasthrAs… Hence I performed as that excuse the

Saranagathi at Your feet (in 22nd verse). Thus with

your dayaa alone as the means, I performed this

prapatti. You should not hence look for any other

means other than Your krupa (grace) alone…

 

Please make Your slave (athmasaathkuru)… Here

Alavdnahaar does not say [me- maam] as he does not

wish to say even that with his mouth.. due to his

aakinchanyam
