Sastras say that all items such as movables ,

immovables, houses, foods,jewellery,flowers,fruits etc are the properties of GOD

( Sriman Narayanan) and we have to offer everything to Him, before we take. In

other words, we have to eat food, after offering to Him(even water),we have to

swallow fruits after offering them to Him,we have to dedicate anything either

house/flat to Him before our occupation. That is why , there is age-long

practice of naming the house as "Sri Narayan Mandir " , Sri Lakshmi Nikethan etc

from the days of our fore-fathers, fore-fathers

Emperors, Kings in the good golden days used to

construct large temples, dig temple-tanks, construct prakarams, thousand pillar

mandaps , hundred- pillar mandaps, sixteen pillar mandaps, four pillar mandaps

attaching them with the main shrine. Offering of ornaments ,jewels were rare in

those days itself , because of invasion of foreign-rulers of different religious

faith who were bent-upon to destroy the temples and to make robbery of all

precious jewellery.

Then came small rulers like Rajah of Sarafoji,

Rajah of Ramnad etc. These rulers offered lands to the temples for daily

up-keep and to conduct daily poojas without interruption

Then came the Philanthropists like Nattukkottai

Chettiars. They also contributed to the conduct of of festivals in the temples

according to Agama Sastras

Later on Musicians like Vaikundavasi M.S.

contributed their huge earnings to the temples in whatever manner they like.

These are all going to say onething.With the grace

of Sri Bhagvan , we are earning. All earnings belong to Him. If we offer

something of His own to Himself He is pleased . He returns it with manyfold.to

the devotees who offered it to Him. He mitigates their sufferings . He appears

indirectly during their critical times and solves problems. He is taking care

of the devotees who believe in Him absolutely.

It is not the question of earning, earning, earning.

It is not the question of saving and leaving it to next generation who will not

satisfy even if we leave the entire world to them. In our life , we saw many

rich families fell into deep trouble and poverty spending the wealth in adharma

ways( drinks race etc )In our life we saw some other rich families grow richer ,

because they spend major portion of their wealth on the ways directed in Dharma

Sastras.

One thing is clear. If we offer something to GOD from

our earnings , the offerings will help us in many ways during our difficult

period. GOD is not crazy, because everything belongs to Him. But we are crazy

of everything, except GOD. If we are crazy with GOD ignoring other things , GOD

will give such other things to us as it is His responsibility to protect us. If

we surrender to Him ,He will take us To Vaikuntam after our seperation from this

world.

Then , how we unveil our desire of offer to Him? It is

easy. We can partake,assist, help, cooperate in the service ( Kainkaryam) to GOD

in many ways. We can ourselves take up the service if we are so rich. If we do

not have such resources we can help the people who are doing such service(

Kainkaryam)

Here is an opportunity for this Kainkaryam. Hundreds

of devotees throng Oushatadri daily especially during thursdays to sundays to

worship Sri Hayagreevar at Thiruvaheendrapuram near Cuddalore braving the

scorching sun/heavy rain/bitter snow-fall Sri Kainkarya a registered Public

Charitable Trust , which is doing several services ( Please see

www.srikainkarya.org) has taken up the task of construction of final stage of

Mahamandap at a cost of Rs 8--00 lacs,because the construction of first stage of

Mandap at a cost of Rs 2-45 lakhs is not sufficiant to cater to the needs of

devotees. This Mahamandap will mitigate the sufferings of devotees. Service to

devotees is a service to GOD. Further to have ecstatic dharsan of the Lord and

to perform Uthsavas comfortably there is every need to complete the construction

of Mahamandap as quickly as possible. This is not only a service to God Sri

Hayagreeva , GOD of all knowledge such as science sculpture

state-craft, music, dance, prosdy, politics, ethics etc, but also a service to

the Society at large since this Mahamandap will stand permanently till the end

of this Kaliyuga as a shelter, as a witness portraying the contributions made

by the devotees like you for the construction , just like several mandaps

constructed by Maharajas

THE names of contributors of Rs 50,000/- and above

are engraved in the marble stone that will be put up at the Mahamandap. The

contributors will be presented with a silver coin (10 gms) depicting Sri

Hayagreeva for their daily pooja. They will be given with a letter=pad size art

paper colour photo of 12 Sri Hayagreevars with dyana slokas for meditation

japam etc

Whatelse, we want!Our desire will be to encourage

such kainkaryams (service) to GOD.Our aim should be to partake in such of those

services

Srikainkarya's aim is to complete the construction of

Mahamandap quickly as hundreds of devotees are suffering under the scorching sun
