Pranamas from Adiyen Adiyen made an attempt to translate the text given below

which was Published in a Telugu Magazine by Dr. Malavaramu Srinivasa Rao. I

would like to know the views of the elite Sri Rangasri Subscribes. Please guide

me to take up similar future attempts.

 

 

Also I sincerely pray for excuse for any mistakes committed in the matter.

Please guide me for eliminating the mistakes in future. Specially the Sanskrit

slokas when written in English, possibility of errors looks to be more.

 

 

 

I hope with the blessings of Sri RangaSri Bhagavatas my future task will be

easier.

 

 

 

Adiyen

 

 

 

VIJAYA RAGHAVAN

It is natural human tendancy to assess the other person, in accordance with

ones own characteristics. So also if the other person has to be blamed for any

reason, the same equation applies.

 

 

In Sanskrit the same is called KUKKUTARATNA LABHAM

 

 

 

Suppose a hen finds a diamond, it rolls it this side and that side and leaves

it.

 

 

 

A crow feels it to be a piece of meat, takes it some distance, finds it not a

meat piece and drops it.

 

An ordinary human being thinks it a colour stone and throws it.

 

Only a noble man who can estimate its real value adores it as a shirobhushana,

 

In Ramayana Anjaneya is a diamond and let us study the thoughts of various

personnel of Ramayana about this GEM.

 

SUGREEVA.

 

Very fearful about his death in the hands of his brother Vali, lives on

Rishyasrunga mountain. Anjaneya is his Minister. Seeing the moments of Rama and

Lakshmana, sends Hanuman to find out their identity. Hanuman in the disguise of

a sanyasi, reaches Rama & Lakshmana. The very Darsanam of Rama changes Hanuman.

He says I am not a Sanyasi and explains every thing, ignoring the principles of

a Spy. This was nothing but Rama Darsana prabhavam.

 

On hearing all that Hanuman told, Rama says to Lakshmana Praising Hanuman in

the presense of Hanuman itself.

 

NAANRUGVEDA VINEETASYA NAAYAJURVEYA DHARINAHA

 

NAA SAMAVEDAVIDUSHAHA SHAKYAMEVAM PRABHASHITHUM

 

N MUKHE NETRAYORVAAPI LALAATEY CHA BHRUVO STATHA

 

ANYESHVAPI CHA GAATRESHU DOASHO NOA VIDYATE KVACHIT.

 

 

 

Lakshamana, Unless a person is not a Rigveda Pandit, Unless a authority on

Yajurveda, unless knows the deapth of Samaveda one cannot speak so carefully.

Some people though speak nicely with their tongue, some expressions are seen

either on the forehead, or smile etc., or may be speaking with their eyes

looking elsewhere. Even their body or face movements may differ. Some where or

other these deficiencies are be seen.

 

 

 

Lakshmana, though Hanuman was speaking for so much, none of the Doshas could be

found in him. Even his VAK NYPUNYAM has got expertise to make the Enemy to put

down the sword.

 

 

 

At this point itself Rama has decided to send Hanuman for Seetanveshana.

 

Now we can see that according to Sugreeva, Hanuman is a Minister and a Dasa. He

is a silent spectator for what ever he speaks.

 

But according to Rama, Hanuman is a VEDAVETTA, DHARMA MURTHY, SATYAVADI.

 

Rama could see the exact qualities of his own in Hanumna.

 

ANGADHA.

 

Son of Vali. Becomes Yuvaraja after his son is killed by Rama. Had a feeling

that his uncle Sugreeva and his Minister Hanuman may dominate him. Does not

know the real wisdom of Hanuman.

 

That’s why when Vanaras have been organized to search for Seetha on all the

four Disas, Stands on the lead position of the batch on the South side, and

makes Hanuman to stand behind the other Vanaras.

 

Rama while checking the Vanaras on the southern side search party, reaches

Hanuman and offers his ring. Says if you wear the ring and go to seetha, my

Seetha will recognize you as my doota. MATHSYAKAASHADAMA PRAPTHA MANUSWIGNA HI

PASYATHI.

 

Hanuman accepts the ring and ties it the hair on his head. Immediately Rama

understands the foresight of Hanuman.

 

Ramas ring is only known to Seetha. Hanuman has got a habit of bowing down to

Rama. Hanuman’s idea was, when he bows to Seeta the ring on his head will be

seen by her and the happy ending will occur.

 

The thought of Rama and Hanuman were same here. That is why Hanuman is so

great in the view of Rama.

 

VANARAS

 

Jambavan asks all the Vanaras standing at the sea shore to tell about their

capabilities about crossing the sea.

 

Hanuman, who received the ring from Rama, also who has been made responsible by

Rama to find Seeta did not speak any thing about his power. In view of other

Vanaras Hanuman is not as powerful as others. The moment Jambavan directs

Hanuman to find Seeta, Vayu Devata’s Shakti enters Hanuman, he makes a

Viswarupa, but still in the Vanaras could not estimate the power of Hanuman.

 

In spite of the above factors, before Hanuman takes off, he says:

 

Yadha Raghava Nirmuktaha Sharaha Shvasana Vikramaha

 

Gachchetthadwadgameshyame Lankam Ravana Palitam

 

A person holding an Arrow, when releases a Bana, it kills many and returns to

the Originating place (arrow stack behind the shoulder). The power is not of

the arrow but the person who releases it. So also I am leaving for Lanka. My

reaching Lanka, and even if I kill Rakshasas at Lanka, even if I could see

Seeta, even if I come back, the entire Shakti is of Rama. I am only an arrow

released by Rama.

 

We can see the simplicity of Hanuman, his Swami Bhakti. His helping others can

be judged by his mission to reach Lanka, search for Seeta, who is no way related

to him. This is the great Paropakara buddhi of Hanuman. Rama knows Hanuman is

great.

 

RAVANA

 

On being informed that a Vanara has killed many Rakshasas, sons of Ministers,

his own son Akshakumara, brave Jambumali, with just empty handed, surprised

orders to capture the vanara and produce before him. On seeing Hanuman Ravana

thinks :

 

KIMESHU BHAGAVAANANDEE BHAVETHSASKSHA DIHAGATHAHA

 

YENA SHAPTHOSMI KAILASE PURAA SANCHALITE MAYYA

 

Once Ravana calls Nandeeswara as Monkey faced and Nandi curses the same Monkeys

will bring an end to Lanka. Is the curse is turning to be reality and the

Vanara may be the same.

 

Hanuman without any fear, directly addresses Ravana with all the principles of

Dharma, and with all thoughtful words. Ravana hears all the words of Hanuman

spell bound and thinks in his mind oh what an orator he is. The entire words of

Hanuman was without any Asatya and also Very true.

 

Hence Hanuman is a VEDAVETHTHA, DHARMAMURTHY, SATYAVADI AND PAROPAKARI

according to Ravama.

 

Whereas according to Rama, I am Hanuman and Hanuman is me. There is no

difference between both.

 

That is the reason Rama has not asked Hanuman why he has made Lanka Dahanam,

which he has not ordered.

 

Not only that, Rama has never told Hanuman as to what should be the

conversation with Ravana. Not even few words. Hanuman according to Rama is

ABHEDAMURTHY (NOT AN INDIVIDUAL WHO CAN BE SEPERATELY VIEWED – THAT IS I AM

HANUMAN AND HANUMAN IS ME.)

 

SEETA

 

Hanuman immediately on seeing Seeta, to make her believe did not show the Ring

of Rama. Only after Seeta’s believing him, he shows the ring. (PRATYAYAARDAM

TAVANEETAM TEYNA DATTAM MAHATMANAA)

 

Seeta was surprised about Hanuman. To make her believe about him, he recites

Ramakatha and Seeta was happy to see Hanuman’s Chaturya and Sandarbashuddi.

 

That is why the Choodamani which is worshipped by her, Rama, Seeta’s mother and

Dasaratha was given to Hanuman.

 

Such adorning important ornaments are given to the children by the Mothers.

This shows that according to Seeta Hanuman is her Son.

 

On hearing that the tail of Hanuman was set on fire, the above reason makes

Seeta to pray Agni Deva to put off the fire and cool the tail.

AATMOPAHARADOPAMAAM. This shows the feelings of a mother when any thing happens

to her child.

 

Even Hanuman also treats Seeta as Mother. When he sees Mandodari he makes all

monkey tricks. On seeing Seeta he weeps and feels how cruel is the fate which

created so much hard ship to a Mahasadvi like Seeta.

 

When Rama’s Opinion was sought for protecting Vibheeshana, Rama says what ever

is the Hanuman’s view is acceptable. At a time when every one fainted in the

war field Jambavan says, if Hanuman is alive all are alive. These statements of

Rama and Jambavan highlights Hanuman’s Dharma Sakti and his Parakrama.

 

When all the above things are given a thought, one has to feel that Rama and

Hanuman are physically different but their thoughts are one. That is the reason

the Hero in Sundara Kanta who is supposed to be in the form of Rama is seen in

the form of Hanuman.

 

Seeta sees Hanuman as her own son.

 

That is why Hanuman who has earned the love and affection of Setta, Rama and

:Lakshmana is seen in the pictures along with them.
