Guest guest
Looks like the shloka is built on one of the vedic shanti mantra: dhyau shanti, prithvi shanti, aapah shanti, oshadayah shanti, brahma shanti, braahmana shanti, chandramaa shanti, shantirme astu shanti etc.. It calls for peace and harmony in all entities. It is unoiversal and does not confine to any one deity. We chant shanno mitrah sham varunah etc in Vaishnava temples. Thus, the shanti shloka can be used in nay temple irrespective of Shiva, Vishnu etc..
