Dear Bhagavatas:

After posting the above issue, I noticed a couple of omissions in the Report on

my trip to India.

1. I requested Sri Sadagopan Iyengar Swami, Srikaryam Swami of SDDS to bless me

with his company for Saatrumurai Darsanam at Tirumalai. In deference to my

request, in spite of his busy schedule, he came all the way from Coimbatore and

arrived around 3.30 am at Tirumalai to be right in time for the Sevai. Because

it was still dark, he had an accidental fall in the ditches excavated in front

of the main Gopuram and had a sprained foot. Despite this he stayed on for the

Seva and hurriedly left for home immediately thereafter.

2. Another omission was my attending a marriage at T.Nagar during my

extended stay on 18th August 2005.

What is so special about attending a marriage?

And, it is this:

The wedding was for the grand daughter of Sri A. Rangarajan, my colleague in

Loyola College, Madras. He was a Co-editor with me in the Manuscript magazine

called "KalaivaaNi" that we were running during our College days way back in

1940s Sri Nadodi, the famous Journalist of the time was the President of

Tamilnadu Manuscript Magazine Editors of which we were members. We were also

running a Social service youth organization called "Mambalam Forum" for several

years conducting free Hindi Classes with the help of Sri Bahukudumbi

Srinivasaraghavan, (who passed IAS and was serving in United Nations) and also

Free Adult education classes for the rural poor with the active help of Sri

Sundaravadivelu, (who was then Educational

Officer of Corporation of Madras and later became Education Secretary of

Tamilnadu Govt.)

This is not all.

Not only did I attend the marriage of this Sri A. Rangarajan but also the

marriage of his son Gopi with the daughter of another colleague of mine in the

Office (Sri Kannan) and now his granddaughter witnessing the weddings of three

generations in a row!

A kind of hat trick, this?
