Dear Asthikas

On 11-10-05,the car festival to SWami Desikan at

Thiruvaheendrapuram was wonderful. This is the same

car ( Ratham ) for Adiyavarkku Meyyan, Sri Devanathan

also during Chiththirai Brahmothsavam.

On 12-10-05 wednesday, Swami Desikan started from

Kannadi Arai( donated by Sri Thirukudanthai Andavan)

accompanied by Veda, Prapanda ,ghosti in Rathnangi

seva.

Before Swami desikan, SriYoga Hayagreevan went

who was adorned with salagrama malai, in a pallakku.

At the top of the Hills, Sri Oushatadri, Swami

Desikan was received with honours from SRi

Hayagreevan. After going pradhakshana(

clock-wise--round)of outer prakara (open space) and

inner prakaraof Sri Hayagreevan sannathi, Swami

Desikan was seated in 4 pillared mandap in front of

Sri Hayagreevan. At the conclusion of vedaparayana,

thaligai was offered to Sri Hayagreevan and Swami

Desikan. Afterthat , parivattam, Malai (garland),

theertham and satari were offered from Sri Hayagreevan

to Swami Desikan.

The importance of the mangalasasanam was that

multi-stoned SAtari( Mani paduka-Navarathna stones

glittered in the satari) was offered to Sri

Hayagreevan

and the devotees got the bhagyam of getting this

satari during saththumurai.

By about 10-30 in the morning Swami Desikan

returned from the Hills , step by step when Echharika

pronounced at every step. There were 6 nathaswaram and

6 thavil . The ragas were that of age-old practice

even today by these nathaswara vidwans which were

really a feast to devotees to their ears, because

there were already a feast to eyes ( Swami Desikan)

Then, mangalasasanam was performed in front of Sri

Devanathan( adorned with rathnangi), Sri Raman, Sri

Hemabjavalli Thayar ( adorned with diamond studded

kreedam) etc

In the evening , thirumanjanam was performed to

Swami Desikan on the banks of Garuda nathi, and

Kaiththlasevai was wonderful. After returning to His

Sannathi, Swami Desikan , waited for a while , when

both Thayar and Perumal came to asthanam of Swami

Desikan

Srikainkarya searched for suitable words to tell the

sevai of Adiyavarkku Meyyan, Thayar Sri Hemabjavalli,

Sri Hayagreevan at the Hills , and Swami Desikan to

all of you but failed , failed utterly. One should

come and enjoy the anubhava there, there only.

If that anubhava is there. no one will go to another

temple to have darshan of all deities on purattasi

sravanam day. This anubhava at Thiruvaheendrapuram is

unparalelled and that is why srikainkarya chose to do

Mahamandapa kainkarya there at the Hills. The

construction work was suspended till the completion of

Brahmothsavam to Swami Desikan as it will be a

hindrance to devotees by way of long pits iron rods

blue metals stored scatterly here and there.

Now the Brahmothsavam is over, work will be

started soon with full vigour

Those, who is having some thought of contributing

for the construction of Mahamandap can do so that too

early. SRi Hayagreevan and Swami Desikan will bless

all of you whether you partake in the kainkaryam or

not, because you are now part and parcel of this loud

thinking
