Guest guest
Jai Sri Krishna I come to understand that Various Acharayas and Alavars in Srivaishnavam are belived to have divine status as being incarnations and expansions (Avatara/hamsa) of the various associates of Srimanarayan such as 1) Srimath Ramanuja is Seen as Sesha Avatara 2) Goda Devi-Sri Andal is beleived to be Bhudevi avatara 3) Nammalavar- Vishvaksena 4) Vishnu chitta- Gauda avatara 5) other Alavars- seen as incarnations of the various weapons and ornaments (shankha, vanamala, kaustabha etc) of Sri Bhagavan. Now my question is that on what do which base these beliefs upon? Are these incarnations mentioned in statvika Shastras??? Or did any of these Great Personalities mentioned above reveal anything of their divine status during their earthly appearance? Thank you and Jai Sri Krishna
