Guest guest
Dear all: This stotram has been published by Srirangam SirOmaNi Sri M.S. Rajagopalachariar Swami through VisishTaadvaita PrachaariNi Sabha, T. Nagar, Chennai. This is in both DEvanaagari and Tamil scripts. By doing aavaahanam of Varaaha, Nrisimha, Vaamana, VishNU and Sudarsana moortis in a kalasam filled with and consecrated waters and consumng the same, many have experienced the mystic healing for various physical and mental sufferings. Even the evil effects of DurdEvatas and afflictions due to black magic etc are reported to have been neutralized by this stOtram. I have been thinking of featuring this stOtram with meanings and explanations in "Sri Ranga Sri" for quite some time. I will be doing this shortly. Dasoham Anbil Ramaswamy ==================================================================== Dear Friends, I have heard about Abaamaarjana Stotram and have got a copy published by LIfco. Some one told me that it is a very good stotram found in VISHNU DHARMOTTARAM, which shall thwart all the evil acts against the devotee, pitru shaabam, dhristi, spirits etc. I am trying to recite it daily. (To my little sanskrit knowledge, It primarily talks about the great ness of varaaha- narasimha-vamana & Sudarsana) Can some one give more details about this great stotra and also about Vishnu Vijaya stotra. No such data is available in the net (tried with google) Om Namo Narayana

Guest guest
Dear Sri Tatachar Swamin and other Bhagavatas: The correct pronunciation is "apaa maarjana stOtram". The word "apaa" with an elongated "a" at the end means "removal",liquidation" etc. while the word "aapa:" (aka "aapO")means "water". Both are purification mantras but "aapOhishTaa" is used in "PrOkshaNam" and is also known as "maarjanam". This StOtram, however, has a greater connotation than the one employed for "PrOkshaNam" in that this invokes the Lord in his various forms requesting removal of all afflictions both physical and mental. Dasoham Anbil Ramaswamy ===================================================================== Aren't these mantras same as "manbtrasnAna" or prOxaNa mantras? da-dhi-krA-va-NNo a-kA-ri-Sham| ji-ShNo-ra-shva-sya vA-ji-nah| su-ra-bhi-nO mu-khA-ka-rat| pra-Na A-yU-gam-shi tA-ri-shat| A-pO hi-ShtA ma-yO-bhu-vah| tA-na U-rjE da-dhA-ta-na| ma-hE-ra-NA-ya cha-xa-sE| yO-va-sshi-va-ta-mO ra-sah| ta-sya-bhA-ja-ya-Te ha-nah| u-Sha-TI-ri-va mA-ta-rah| ta-smA-a-ra-nga mA-ma-vah| ya-sya-xa-yA-ya ji-nva-ta| A-pO-ja-na ya-thA ja-nah || dAsan K.S. tAtAchAr - neelakrishna2001 <neelakrishna2001 Wed, 08 Feb 2006 01:47:06 -0000 Abaamaarjana Stotram sreeman anbil ji; I am one among them who are waiting eagerly to know about"apaamaarjana sthotram". i could not locate sandyavandanam part -2 series. thanking you pranamams krishnapriya
