Dear Bhagavatas:

 

Today asmad Achaaryan, His Holiness Srimad Andavan, ParavaakkOTTai Sri GOpaala

DEsika Mahaa DEsikan of PouNDarikapuram Swami Asramam, Srirangam completed his

85th Tirunakshatram and stepped on to a glorious 86th year of age.(Paarthiva-

Panguni- RohiNi).

 

He is the Senior-most both in point of age and the number of Chaaturmaasyams

observed by YathisrEshTas of Bhagavad Ramanuja- Swami Desika Satsampradayam

which latter is the criterion for determining the inter-se seniority among them.

 

In connection with the celebrations, we were blessed with a scintillating

tele-upanyasam on Acharya Mahima and the Vaibhavam of H.H. Srimad Paravakottai

Andavan Swami by Srikaryam Swami, Veda Ratnam U.Ve. Dr. A.

Ananthanarasimhachariar Swamin on Sunday, 2nd April 2006.

 

The Pravachanam was at once illuminating and informative. All those who had the

bhaaghyam of listening were spellbound for over an hour and were impressed with

Swami’s presentation and the choice words employed in driving home the points he

embarked upon. We are beholden to him for his blessings. We wish that he will

provide us with many more opportunities to listen to his lucid expositions.

the name of the “Co- Moderator”

 

There is none in the Srivishnava cyber world who does not know Sri Madhava

Kannan Swami of Singapore. His email Id itself is Srivaishnavan. His

Achaarya Bhakti is second to none.

He is one of the very “Antaranga” Sishyas of asmad Achaaryan

 

All of you will agree that he is the one who uncompromisingly adheres to post

nothing that can be even remotely repugnant to the tenets of the philosophy and

practices of our Satsampradayam and who never allows himself to be dragged into

controversial topics, vitiating the mission statement of “Sri Ranga Sri”

 

He has kindly consented to serve as “Co- Moderator”. We are extremely

honored to announce this on this happy Tirunakshatram occasion of asmad

Achaaryan.

 

As stated already, he will be in charge of monitoring / editing / approving /

rejecting mails received for release in "Sri Ranga Sri".

I have requested him to strictly enforce the guidelines for approving postings.

 

I request all contributors to co-operate by observing the Guidelines

scrupulously with a view to avoid rejection of their postings for

non-compliance of the guidelines.

 

As “attachments” are not allowed in “Sri Ranga Sri” site due to

potential virus threats, it is requested that the text of any attachments may be

Sriman Anbil Ramaswamy ,on his return from Srirangam ,before initiating the

proposal of starting "SRiranga Sri", met me at chennai and asked me tobe one of

the member ( or something ) of Sriranga sri and I readily agreed to.

This is very pleasant information about the co-moderator Sriman Madhavak

kannan is having full pandhithyam in all spheres, in young age. I am very

fortunate to have such a Vidwan as co-moderator of Sriranga Sri which shows all

of us are having full acharya anugraha
