Yesterday, that is 19th Mar 2006 we were fortunate enough to be in the Presence of Pankajavalli Thayar and Pundarikaksha Perumal on the sands of the Vada Thiru Kaveri i.e Kollidam. The Divya Dampathi had travelled about 15 kms from Thiruvellarai to enjoy the river side sojourn and more importantly to bless us . The Panguni visakham day, the fifth, was as usual burning hot but the evening was surprisingly cool. Unlike on Masi Makham 13th Mar 2006 when both Sundarraja perumal and Purushottamar had come to Kollidam, yesterday knee high water was flowing near the southern bank. The walk across to the sands here the Divine Couple were waiting for us,was blessedly cool. Old mamis and mamas made light of the knee high water and were seen rushing to get to the thatched enclosure. Bright spot lights drew the devotees and it reminded one of flying ants rushing towards the tube lights during the monsoon. We were told that it was Thayar who usually comes to the river and Perumal follows obediently, unlike Sundarraja perumal and Purushottamar who leave behind their consorts.Thiruvellarai (Sri) like Thiruneraiyur(Nila) and Srivilliputhur(Bhoo) is a place were the divine Mother is the boss and Perumal follows meekly. For our enjoyment the Divine Couple put on an act in these places. Attached to this e-mail are photos of Thayar, Perumal and the devotees crossing the kollidam. *** Thanks to Dr Sundararajan swami for sharing these divinely beautiful pics My apologies for not posting them earlier... [sheer laziness:-( as usual] Regards Namo narayana dAsAnu dAsan
