WRITE UP ON "IRUNTHAN MANILAM' THIRUMOZHI 3-1 contd.

True to His Devotee

 

It is said that we shoud to be true to ourselves, true to our teachers, true to

our parents and true to the Lord.

 

But, here the fact that the Lord is true to His devotee is emphasised by kaliyan.

"adivaRku meyyan" -"dhevanAyakan". This aspect is succinctly brought forth by our Sadagopan swAmi.

adiyvARkku meyyanAhiya Dhaiva Naayakan 3-1-3

 

a" (Maayavan) adiyArkku meyyanAhiya Dhaiva Naayakan idam ".Here Kaliyan points

out that the place of residence of this MaayAvi is ThriuvahIndhrapuram. He also

performsmangaLAsAsanam for the Lord of Thiruvaindhai as (1)AdiyArkku Meyyan and

(2) Dhaiva Naayakan .As Adiyaarkku Meyyan , Our Lord went as the Messengerfor

the PaaNdavAs and also served as the Charioteer forArjunA and heeded the

commands of ArjunA in the battlefield. At the end of the day , He washed the

horsesand pressed them with His own hands and got them ready for the next

day's battle.What a soulabhyamthat he displayed then !AdiyArkku Meyyan is the

translation of the SanskritNaamam : "Natha Sathyan". He is true to His adiyArs

..He never fails them . He never lets them down befititngHis other name :

Achyuthan. He is easily accessible toHis adiyArs and is most difficult of

access to others.Thrice , SrI VishNu SahasranAmam salutes Himas " SatyAya

nama:" .He is the Satya sandhan according to MahA BHAratha slOkam (69.12.13):"

KrishNa is rooted in Satyam and Satyam is rootedin KrishNa" (SatyE

prathistitha: KrishNa: Sathyamasmin prathishtitham). Kaliyan also salutes this

Lord as Dhaiva Naayakanor the Lord of all gods . He came to the rescue ofdEvAs

in response to their prayers and took many avathArams to saved them from the

brutalities of different asurAs.
