Guest guest
REACHED THE DVINE FEET OF THE LORD /ACHARYAN/THIRUNADU thiruppAvai 9 kaN vaLarum This term "kaN vaLarum" indicates the sleep but in a very decent and respectful way. The srEvaishNavic language is a class on its own. For each and every detail the uniquness of the tems sparkle. When a person breathes his last, it is customary to mention even today "AchAryan thiruvadi adaindhArhe has reached the divine feet of the AchAryan" Though the aformentioned words are followed in contemporary parlance, the following are generally accepted terms: When a jEvAthmAl is dedicated towards the Lord it is customary to mention his final departuere as "thiruvadi sArndhAr" --Reaching the divine feet of the Lord. Whent the jEvAthmA is dedicated towards service to srEvaishNavites. "thirunAttukku nadandhAr" ---Reaching the thirunAdu full of srEvaishNavites. When the jEvAthmA is in intense service towards the AchAryan " AchAryan thiruvadi adaindhAr"-- Reached the feet of the AchAryan. In this context sri bhattar's words should be remembered when it was mentioned that "thoNdanUr nambi thiruvadi sArndhAr" --sri thoNdanUr nambi has reached the Lord's feet. Sri bhattar said that, since he was more inclined towards service to the devotees, hence mention as "thoNdanUr nambi thirunAttukku nadandhAr" 'thoNdanUr nambi walked to the thirunADu" (to be continued) vanamamalai padmanabhan
