Usually sri bhattar,s reply will be in a manner where the essence of the doubt

is clarified precisely.

 

For example, when somebody asked in the context of the thiru-vioi-mozhip pAsuram

"AnAllan, pen allan", What is the gender of the Lord then? kindly refer to EDu

for thiru-voi-mozhi pAsuram 2-5-10;

 

sri bhattar incisively clarified that He is the supreme purushothaman the

paramAthmA in contrast to the jEvAthmAs.

 

However, here instead of such repliy, the reply is" How are you the loser?"

"..vumakkuch sEdham en?"

 

This is rare as when we see sri bhattar's precise clarificiations,

such type of replies are rare.

 

The cynical reply makes this interesting. Perhpas, the quesitoner might have

asked not with a view of getting clarification but with a view of finding fault

or finding contradictions.(of course this is my conjecture)

If somebody else can come out with an explanation, it will be better.
