Guest guest
GROUP DISCUSSIONS When you wait for an aruLich-cheyal ghOshti or for a puRappADu of perumAL, you can see srEvaishNavites gathering in groups and batches, discussing. Though the discussion touches on external subjects also, by and large it may be observed that the groups pirmarily discuss on the beauty of the Lord's sAthupaDi or the latest developments regarding divya-dEsams or regarding the forthcoming utsavams and timings and so on. This is what I have been observing in thiru-allikEANi. This holds good in other divya-dEsams also. In fact, the famous quote in srirangam is that the Lord stopped His usual procession when it was seen that the srEvaishNavic gathering got disbursed reverentially on the Almighty's regular visit. We mortals, who are having limited knowledge, discuss in these forums in batches and groups formally and informally cutting across affiliations, on the subject of the Lord, AzhwAr and the likes. Then can we imagine what the bramAdhigaL who are cherishing and experiencing the attributes of the Lord Almighty will do? Do they also have such gatherings. Yes! says thirumangai AzhwAr. They also gather in groups and batches with families and relentlessly talk about the auspcious qualities of the LOrd. This subject matter goes on and on for long, long time and they go on prattling His attirbutes. "kuDi kuDiyAga kUDi ninRamar guNangaLEA pidhaRRi ninREARRA ..." 4-10-9; We can proudly proclaim that our discussion falls in this slot. Perhaps, the contemporary groups discussion techniques has taken its roots from us. Can we say so? dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
