Guest guest
thiruvarangam or thiru-vENkaTam Sri thirumangai AzhwAr's extreme devotion is being described by her mother. The status of parakAla nAyaki's bakthi pAravasyam towards sri ranganAthan of srirangam is narrated by her mother. It is mentioned by the mother that parakAla nAyaki without fear openly says "vENkaTamEA! vENkaTAmEa" Now, what is this? The devotion is towards thiruvarangam Lord. But the words are about thiru-vENkaTam. It is said that the Almighty descends from parama-padham to thiru-varangam via thriumalai. He stands in thirumalai and then settles down at thiruvarangam. The thiruvarangam is likened by our pUrvAchAryAs to thriu-nADu and the kAvEri to vrajA. AzhwAr's bakthi pAravasyAm is so intense that it commences from the roots-- thiruvENkaTam. That is what sri thiruppAN AzhwAr also did in amalanAdhippirAn by talking of thirumalai in the third pAsuram. Sri peiryavAchAn piLLai summarises this crisply "periya perumALuDiaya, inguthai varavAREA pidithu ARRAmaikku vudalampaDi kANum piRandhadu pravaNAdhisayam' "veruvAdhAL vAi veruvi 'vENkaTamEA! vENkaTAmEA" enginRALAl.." 5-5-1; dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
