Guest guest
Chakkarach selvan There is a striking similarity of some terms used by sri nam-AzhwAr and sri thirumangai mannan. This reiterates the fact that their wavelength and thinking are same though they are from different periods. Here is one such: Sri nam-AzhwAr refers to sri nara-simhar as "chakkarach selvan". Lord nara-simhA killed hiranyan with His nails. SudharsanAzhwAn was only a witness to this. However, His presence in the shoulders of the Lord added beauty and this is described as "chakkrach selvan" "pukka ari vuruvAi avunan vudal kENdugandha-chakkarach selvan thannai.." thiru-voi-mozhi 7-6-11; It is the same title sri kaliyan gives to the Almighty and in the same context of hiranya-vadham "..ari vuruvamAgi nagam kiLarndhidandhu vugandha, chakkarach selvan then-pEAr" 5-9-5- periya thiru-mozhi; There goes again another similarity. dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
