Even swAmi nam-AzhwAr expresses the terms--"viNNuLAr perumARku adimai seivARaiyum seRum aim-pulan ivai" thiru-voi-mozhi 7-1-6; -The five sensory organs even torment those who serve the Almighty. Therefore, Sri Thirumangai mannan wanted to convey to the Lord his confirmed conviction against these and immense longing towards the Lord. This he expresses in each and every pAsuram of this first thiru-mozhi of the sixth ten "ANDAi, vunnaik kANBadhOAr aruL enakkaruLudhiyEal, vEANDEAn manai-vAzhkkaiyai--viNNagar mEAyavanEA" 6-1-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9.
