Guest guest
tharu-thuyaram thadAyEAl Sri kulasEkara AzhwAr emphasises the fact that the jEvAthmA should cling to the paramAthmA irrespective of the fact of joy or sorrow, wealth or penury etc. Sri nam-AzhwAr says " siRappil vEdu, swarga-naragam, eidhuga-eidhaRka, yAnum piRapu-il-pal-piRapvip perumAnai maRapponRinRi enRum magizhvanEa' Whether I reach the eulogised heaven or the hapless hell, I will never forget You. This concept of the soul not forgetting the Lord irrespective of happiness or sorrow is narrated by Sri kula-sekara AzhwAr by certain relationships. The basic postulate highlighted here in the soul should be subsevient only to the Lord and none else -ananyArha shEshathvam, which is the essence of thirumandhiram. These are narrated over a few relationships. These are 1. Mother and the kid. 2. Husband and wife 3. The king and the citizen 4.Doctor and the patient. 5. The ship mast and the bird 6. The Lotus and the sun 7. The crops and the rains. 8. The river to the seas; Let us go into these relationships (to be continued) vanamamalai padmanabhan.
