Guest guest
SrI: SrImatE rAmAnujAya nama: SrI lakshmI narasimha parabrahmaNE nama: SrImAn rAmachandran ji, We as SrI vaishNavAs believe that jIva is eternally subservient to brAhmaN, and eternally different from SrImAn nArAyaNa, the parabrahmaN. There are other schools that believe that only ignorance(avidya or mAya) prevents one from knowing oneself to be God. Those schools are very staunchly propogating this mAyavAda, which calls our teachings as avidya. But we do not go into the middle of their lectures and say, they are not secularists, for every one has their right to propogate their philosophy. In India, there are somany fraud bAbas who teach somuch of nonsense to mislead common men. We do not disrupt even their lectures. But we SrI vaishNavAs, who strictly follow vEda(upanishads), vEdAnta sUtrAs, and bhagavad geeta (prasthAna trayee) are being asked to not propogate our sidhAnta. Who is intolerant here? you or us? who is non-secular here? you or us? You accused our scholar by saying that there are other things he can teach to propogate vaishNavism. So you decide even what we should as vaishNavism. what a great freedom of religion(secularism) you are advocating? you also said> In todays context Vaishnavism will score an empahatic victory only when more and more persons are attracted towards it from other sects for which Divyadesam can do a great service. First of all, please let me tell you, we are not businessmen who buy devotees by telling what they may like to hear( we can only teach what our AchAryas teach us). Donations from the people to renovate divya dEsams is accepted only to save those people, not God. Our(your and mine also) perumAL says in bhagavad geeta, phalam patram pushpam tOyam .... He is satisfied even with a fruit or leave or flower or even water. He accepts our kainkaryams only to bless us with the bhAgyam of serving Him, not to increase His luxuries for He is already the Lord of SrI dEvi(sarva sampada). If we also teach non-vedic knowledge to get more and more devotees and to flood with money, then who will save them from ignorance? if we do not teach them that SrI hari is the Lord of every one, then are we not filling them with ignorance? If you have objections based on scriptures, please place infront of our scholars, they can answer them without any big effort. But if you object vaishNava sidhAnta to promote the philosophies of ignorance, then we are forced pay a deaf ear. THERE IS NO ONE EQUAL OR SUPERIOR TO SRI HARI. dAsOham, SrIperumbUdUru vEnkaTa vinOd. To propagate and bring about the virtues of Vasihnavism or for that matter any sect of religion there are several examples and statements which will go very well with followers of GOD. After all vaishnavism and saivism are two parts of our great HINDU religion. In todays context Vaishnavism will score an empahatic victory only when more and more persons are attracted towards it from other sects for which Divyadesam can do a great service.
