Guest guest
ALum-paNiyum-aDiyEanaik koNDAn The logical argument of thirumangai mannan in sixth thirumozhi of the sixth ten is that when the chOzhA king was blessed who had desired materialistic benefits, why will not the Lord shower His Grace on us who look upon Him for Him. In the next thirumzohi kaliyan emphaises the fact that em-perumAn has made AzhwAr subservient to Him. More than being subservient, the Lord has also granted him the benefit of serving the Almigthy. The pAsuram is as follows: ALum -paNiyum-adiyEani koNDAn 6-7-1; ALum--The jEvAhtma which was not accepting to subservience to anybody in the first instance was made subservient to the Lord; The shEshathvam to em-perumAn is granted by HIm. ALUm koNDAn. paNiyum koNDAn.--Just being shEshathvam denotes subservience but not being capable of serving Him. pArathanthriyam is the state of flexibility to serve Him. That this was also granted by Him in highlighted by the words -paNi koNDAn. The service should be for His sake. Therefore, the service should be taken by Him as per His will. That is why AzhwAr states paNiyum koNDAn. Granting shEshathvam and pArathanthriyam. dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
