I came across this article in a local publicationwhich publishes religious and

spiritual articles)about plans going on in building a church in Tirumala(up in

Tirumala and not Tirupati). In fact the articlesaid already there are 7

churches in Tirupati. The CMof AP Mr. Y. Samuel Rajashekar Reddy (who converted

toChristianity) is providing all the support for thesame from the government,

which manages the wholetemple through T.T.D (the trust which manages all

thetemples at Tirumala and Tirupati).

As a step towards this, they have already convertedthe Executive Officer of

T.T.D into a Christian(again, this officer is appointed by the

governmentitself). The plans came to light when 100 acres ofland, up in

Tirumala, was put to auction by thisexecutive officer and these Christian

missionariesstarted bidding for it. The question was, why are they trying to

sell the landwhile temple is not at all in need of any money? Evenif the temple

needed money, there are FDs from T.T.Dworth more than 15000 crores in various

banks, whichcan be withdrawn at any time. Over the years, it was aguideline

followed by T.T.D not to sell any land toanyone. They used to lease the land

for differentMathas (like our Kashi Matha) and Chathras. The leaseperiod was

not more than 30 years which needed renewalafter it expired. This being the

case, why would theysell the land now?

The whole article was based on what was published in adaily newspaper in AP called "Andhra Jyothi".

Even when British were in power (pre-Independence),they did not dare to come to

Tirupati/Tirumala withtheir conversion plans. But now, with the help of ourown

people, they are crossing all the limits oftoleration. We need to spread this

awareness among all our peopleso that this can be stopped if possible. So, I

humblyrequest all of you to post this message in all thereligious forums you

have access to and spread thisshocking news.

This news is not only shocking but it ia time bomb.

The congress government in Andhra is starting another

Ayodhya. It is better that this news is sent to

orgainisations like VHP, BJP and Shivasena and to all

the Matadhipathis in India. There should be a big

demos against this action of Reddy's governement.

before jumping to conclusions about the presence of a church or going to be

built, we need to verify the same. Let there not be chaotic conditions prevail

in this already saturated ill feelings between religions. Let the news papers

publicise this issue and the VHP and other religious heads can make a move to

stall the process.
