Guest guest
Dear Shri Mukund, With my limited understanding the meaning of kadai is as follows kadai perhaps generally refers to shop. In this context, since this is not commercial venture . i.e thaNNEr pandhal -this canntoes the materials spread like a shop -kaDai parappudhal in the paNdhal. the water vessels and the like materials are spread on a bench or a table or like furnitures. This is kadai. dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan - Mukund Saturday, December 31, 2005 3:09 PM Re: ThiruppAvai vuvamaigaL 16 SrI: Dear svami, Please explain on 'kaDaiyaiyum........' dAsan - Padmanabhan ramanuja ; Oppiliappan ; vanamamalai ; divyadesams Friday, December 30, 2005 11:56 PM ThiruppAvai vuvamaigaL 16 thaNNer pandhalaiyaum kaDaiyaiyum kattumAp pOlEA 1.thaNNer pandhalaiyaum kaDaiyaiyum kattumAp pOlEA -ARAyirappaDi-koDith thONRum thOraNam When philanthrophsits establish thaNNer pandhal -water centres for distribution of water during summer - they first erect a big banner visible even from a distance. Those very thirsty get somewhat consoled on seeing this banner.
