Guest guest
A Strategic Move. It is well known that EmperumAn is all for us. He is the means and His Grace elevates us. Does not Thirumangai AzhwAr know this? Definitely he does know? Then what is the point in lamenting that the Lord has not kept His words and pining. Is not a matured soul expected to maintain composure and wait with aplomb for Him to come and take us? True. However, it is not as dry as it is made to be. The relationshiop is full of emotions outbursting with expectations. love and affection. It is not made of formal ties but a never ending bondage. The involvement culminates into ceaseless longingeness yearning for His embrace moment after moment.Apparently, the Beauty of Him, His Grace and deeds indeed are so attrative which outweigh easily the formal relationship that is made to be. Having realised ParakAla nAyaki's posiiton, it will be now easier to understand Her next move. The deep anticipation of Him did not culminate and Kaliyan somehow wants to reach Him. EmperumAn does not accept any other means and if one so desires can follow the othermeans and Almighty allows us to follow that means but He gradually removes HImself from the background. What will happen/ thinks Kaliyan , 'if She- one who has understood Him fully well, one who has professed that He is the means and also all along practised it meticulously, goes on in public to follow other means'. The EmperumAn of ThiruppullAni will indeed realise His folly of not appearing immediately on Kaliyan's call and descend forthwith in her front. However, Parakala nayaki's friend -thOzhi -appropriately reminds that by following certain rituals she not only violates the basic nature of the soul but also belittles the Grace of the Lord. Kaliyan declares 'This is what gives confidence in me. By reciting His name after proper formalities I try to violate His nature. True. But not mine. The Lord indeed is going to appear in my front fearing my detracting from the right path. This is my brahmAsthram' proclaims Kaliyan. All this in the ninth pAsuram of the 3rd Thirumozhi of the ninth ten of Periya Thirumozhi. 'Odhi Ayira nAmam- kulithu-vuchi thannAl pAdha nALum paNivOam namakkEa nalam Adhalin Adhu thAran enilum tharum anRiyum anbarAi.." Let us finish our ablutions and recite His thirunAmam and fall at His feet. No. He will not reject. Indeed He will shower His Grace on us. namakkEa nalam Adhalin dAsan vanamamaalai padmanabhan
