TIRUPATI, FEB.23, 2006 (TIRUPATITIMES.COM)

An ardent devotee, Mr. K.M.Krishnappa Reddy hailing from Bangalore has late

tonight made an offering of 21 silver pots weighing about 70 Kg worth about Rs.

12 lakh to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala, temple sources told Tirupatitimes.com.

The dazzling pots have been handed over to the hill temple authorities by the

devotee, the temple sources said adding that the pots would be used during

temple rituals such as Sahasra Kalasabhishekam and other celestial events

conducted in the temple.

Interestingly, for the third time during this month the Tirumala temple has

received such precious offerings. Earlier on Feb. 9, a devotee from Coimbatore

had offered a golden pot weighing about 2 Kg wroth about Rs. 15 lakh to the

Lord. Later on Feb.11 Mr. Madhan Raj, a devotee from Chennai had donated 15

silver pots worth about Rs 6.5 lakh as fulfillment of his vow.
